The UK government has announced amendments regarding the designated standards for Regulation 2016/426 (Gas Appliances). The amended standards apply to Great Britain. We publish this notice for your convenience.
Do you have applied standards to prove compliance in regard to one or more of the mentioned regulations? We recommend you to check the new list of standards to see if any of the standards you applied have been updated. When standards have been updated by this list, you need to re-evaluate your products against the updated standard and update your Declaration of Conformity.
These guidances will assist your understanding of the regulations and they include obligations for manufacturers, their authorised representatives, importers and distributors.

of references to standards relating to gas appliances in support of Regulation 2016/426 on appliances burning gaseous fuels as it has effect in Great Britain (Regulation 2016/426)
This notice confirms that:
- (a) The standards referenced in Annex I to notice 0013/21 and published for the purposes of Article 6A of Regulation 2016/426 relate to the essential requirements under the repealed Directive 2009/142/EC and do not ensure compliance with Regulation 2016/426.
- (b) Notice 0013/21 is therefore removed from publication from the date of this notice. Appliances and fittings manufactured in conformity with the standards published by notice 0013/21 are not presumed to be in conformity with the essential requirements set out in Annex I to Regulation 2016/426.
